Robert E. Harris started the agency in 1960 in Newport Beach, California  Rob’s business beacon throughout his insurance career was: serve the customer.  This philosophy allowed the agency to grow and prosper and build long-term client relationships.  We believe that the personal, one-on-one relationship we have with our clients is what most distinguishes us from other insurance brokers and agents.

Steve Harris, who worked in the insurance business for more than ten years, assumed leadership of the agency after ‘Uncle Rob’ passed away in 1998.  The Harris agency is  proud of its 40-year history and the values and principals that Rob perpetuated. Steve is committed to  maintaining our core values of honesty and integrity and to always serve the customer.

We are now building on the next 40 years and have embarked on a growth strategy to ensure that we will always have the resources to effectively serve the customer.  In February 2000 The Harris agency merged with Irvine Pacific Commercial Insurance Brokers, Inc. The Irvine Pacific Management shared the same values and the merger allows us to better serve our clients.

The Harris agency is a full service agency providing all types of commercial and personal lines of insurance, surety bonds, employee benefits (life & health) and risk management services. We have appointments with many top rated insurance carriers and have access to other specialty and surplus lines markets. We also offer flexible and affordable financing of your premiums.
